If you are a woman who is passionate about the car community and have not heard of WIMNA, then I would like to be the first to introduce you to this impactful organization.
Women in Motorsports North America (WIMNA) womeninmotorsportsna.com is a community of professionals devoted to supporting opportunities for women across all disciplines of motorsport by creating an inclusive, resourceful environment to foster mentorship, advocacy, education, and growth, thereby ensuring the continued strength and successful future of the sport.
The Co-founders are Lyn St. James and Beth Paretta. Both are legends that have paved the way on the track and in boardrooms for women to have increased opportunities to take the wheel and steer. As Lyn St. James says, "Women have been and are successful in all areas of motorsports, whether as drivers, crew members, or other professional roles within the industry."
Thank you, Lyn and Beth, for all you do to celebrate, promote, advocate, and provide mentorship to elevate women in motorsports.
I for one, am excited to see how we can all do our part to continue the inclusive trajectory of getting women on tracks from the club levels to the professional levels.
